A new year, a new chapter in life, 365 more new chances. Everyday is a day of lesson and changes. 2018 was a rough year for me, a year full of learning, especially learning from the mistakes of yesterday. Here's the three lessons that I learned in 2018:
1. Never Settle For Less
It does not matter whether its relationship, career, friendships or purchases. Applying this idea in all aspects of life. Make sure to set your goal and standards for everything. In 2018, I've made some wrong investment and settling for less than you deserve. Often, we all know who we are, know what we want, and know what we deserve never settle for less. People always connect with this idea only to people. However, when it comes to career, I personally learned to never settle for less than your worth and what you deserve, and never force yourself to do what you don't like.
When it come to purchasing, I've learned my lesson of never settle for a cheaper alternative. Always follow your goal and don't get distracted.
2. Stop Comparing
In this generation of social media time, we are constantly compare everything, our physical appearance, such as looks, body shape or what are we wearing.. The reason why we struggle with insecurity, but we should not let our insecurity run us. When we all stopped comparing yourself to others, this will make yourself a lot more happier. We are all different people, who are different places in life, working for different goals and different pace.
"You need to ignore what everyone is doing and achieving - Your life is about breaking your own limits and outgrowing yourself to live your best life, you are not in competition with anyone else; plan to outdo your past, not other people."
3. Time For Yourself
I believe it is good to take care of yourself and allowing yourself to heal. It does not matter in what situation in life. At the end of this year, I learned to take some time for myself and allowing myself to spend more time doing things I love and spend more quality time with friends and family. Although, there are rough patches in life, sometime life gives lemon, you just have to learn how to make lemonade with it! Nothing is wrong with focusing on yourself and discover your wants.
Blazer: Le Chateau
Top: Shop Tobi
Pants: Le Chateau
Boots: Le Chateau
Stepping into the new year wearing my favourite pieces and some staples in my closet. Classic black pieces from Le Chateau, pairing with gold details. Lately, I've been obsessed with tweed blazer. I actually worn this outfit out once for New Years Eve dinner, one of my friend actually asked me if I got this Blazer from Chanel, the same style of piece for a fraction of the price, I would considered all these pieces from Le Chateau to be classic and must haves.
